North End of Walney 27 July 2012

Just got back from a fishing trek to the North End of Walney with my old mate Steve (Spartan). We decided (or was it me!)to fish a new venue just for the experience. Fished the Ebb from 1100 with 5 day old blow lug and Wednesdays yellow tails. Fishing was very quite with us both just feeding the crabs, then at about 1140 my rod went berserk (I wish)….no bite felt and but managed to land a small dab …safely returned.

The tide started to show @1500 and there was a hell of a run and a lot of weed.
We fished until 1700 with no action and decided to call it a day and looked forward to the long trek back to Earnsie Bay!

It wasn’t the most productive session but the views over the Duddon Estuary

and towards the Black Huts

were spectacular and the sand hills and beach were beautiful.
