24 Oct 2012 Sandy Gap

Decided on the spur of the moment to use up some of the yesterdays fresh Blowlug  and have  a low water session at a new

Started fishing at about 1245 (LW 1427 2.73M).

There was a brisk easterly breeze which didn’t instill me with confidence….nothing does now!. It was a lovely  day and the sun started to poke through on the turn of the tide.

Fished with a one up one down two hook flapper rig on a 150g breakaway with  frozen black on the top and fresh blowlug on the clipped hook. Managed to get a good casting distance (with the wind behind me) and with walking back with the tide , I reckon I must had 150M line out. That might have been the mistake, maybe the fish were closer in!………I don’t think so.

Carried on fishing until 1745 without  having a knock,… people say you’ve got to be in it to win it! It doesn’t bother me blanking now, I had a fantastic day with lovely scenery and just one seal for company an hour before I packed in. Can’t think of anything else interesting to report or any intersting photos……………………

so it’s back to the drawing board and plan  in where to fish next. It might have to a flatty bashing session (got a few worms left) before planning in next weeks high tides.
