Just back from a two week holiday in Turkey with Steve, we decided to have a low water session at the North End of Walney, only the second time we had fished this venue. We fished the Ebb from 1130 with fresh blow lug and frozen sand eels on a one up one down two hook flapper rig on a 150gm breakaway.
Fishing was very quite all day with us both just feeding the crabs there was one chap fishing to our right.
who had one flatty…………that’s all the action we saw. I took my Shakespeare Royality Salmon bait/ spin rod and Shimano 8010 Baitrunner.
for a light ledgering / spinning session with no luck. It was a case of topping up our tan from the holiday.
We carried on fishing until 1730 before the tide even showed. At least the weather was hot and once again sunny with brilliant views over the Duddon Estuary and towards the Black Huts
It looked as though we would be in for a thunderstorm on the walk back to Earnsie Bay but it was just a welcome soaking from rain.
